The accessible Pop-up Opera group are heading to Band on the Wall to perform their modern adaptation of the riotous comedy, The Barber of Seville. Performed in its original Italian with English captions, the 1816 premiere of Rossini’s production has been scaled down while adding to its love-based laughs. The central character of the opera’s title, Figaro, helps to knit together a visually compelling version of events with all its disguises, romance and farce, and its talented supporting cast all contribute perfect comic timing to an immersive opera buffa experience.
