Jazz-influenced production maestro Terrace Martin is set to visit Manchester’s Band on the Wall as his only UK date outside London on a European tour with his backing band, The Polly Seeds. From beginning his musical path on the piano aged six and subsequently being funded through music college by Jay Leno to working as a staff producer for Quincy Jones, Martin has regularly been rubbing shoulders with mainstream hip hop’s top table royalty, including Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre and Wiz Khalifa, and is credited for a key role on Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly album. Prodigious with raps, keys, sax and whatever else he deems to touch in music, the chance to experience his virtuosity first hand is a rare delight.
