You can rely on the Kings Arms in Salford for good entertainment as well as good drinking. However, there’s something extra special coming in November: Foundations, a two-day micro festival showcasing local grassroots music. The event is organised by AnalogueTrash and Valentine Records, two local labels that will present an eclectic line-up of their own artists. There will be 16 acts across two stages, as well as DJ sets. The Festival also features art, film, and performance. Multimedia artist Morganna Bramah will be presenting a live installation, alongside art and photography displays throughout the weekend. Highlights include ChipBattles in which  two purveyors of 8-bit music duke it out to be crowned the King or Queen of Chiptune while artists from Manchester and Warsaw collaborate on Europe Endless: 1230 Miles, an international music and video set.
