Two members of much celebrated London comedy collective ‘Weirdos’ are up in Manchester to cheer up your Monday night, as Joz Norris presents Edinburgh show ‘Hello, Goodbye’ alongside fellow rising star Eleanor Morton. Norris is a delightful ball of nervous energy whereas Morton is fresh off the back of supporting Stewart Francis and Frankie Boyle on tour, which is a good indication of the regard this young performer is held in.

There’s no other experience like it in live comedy, hilarious, smart and just the best interactive fun you’ll have at a gig. This week they’re at The Delightful Sausage in The Castle for Chris Cantrill and Amy Gledhill’s theatre of the absurd which is also sees appearances from Leeds’ ‘Not So Late Show’ pairing Ross and Josh plus a host of comedians new and old trying out some fresh bits.

Tom Allen & Suzi Ruffell (pic) | The Lowry | Wed 23 Nov | 8pm | £10/11
Another highly rated London pairing ‘Hit the Road’ with their respective Edinburgh offerings in Tom Allen and Suzi Ruffell at The Lowry. A two-for-one on comedy for Sarah Millican and Alan Carr’s respective tour support which is another pretty high marker for comedy caliber. Allen’s acerbic, camp 70s game show host style is riotously funny whilst Ruffell tows a more introspective line in her show ‘Common’ in which she looks at her working class roots.

Every time there is a James Acaster show on near you, you should go. We know this is a list of comedy picks and we’re encouraging you to go to all of them but with Acaster you really do get to see an absolute master at comedy craft. This new show ‘Reset’ was his fifth Edinburgh show to be nominated for the top prize at the Festival and the description is as vague as ever (‘James Acaster finds himself with something to look forward to.  Something he’s always wanted.  Something we all want.’) but trust us when we say go see James Acaster.
