Book now: The Ultimate R’n’B Quiz at Walrus

Themed quizzes are totally du jour right now, covering every aspect of pop culture from Red Dwarf and Sherlock to Sex and the City and Star Wars. However, Walrus is surely among the first to offer an R‘n’B themed trivia evening in the Northern Quarter. Hosted by city stalwarts, The Quizzly Bears, the quizmasters will serve up questions covering the glory days of Rhythm and Blues in the early to mid 1990s right up to the chart domination of the present day. So grab your skull cap and pencil thin beard, and test your wits against the rest of Manchester who know their Lumidee from their Blu Cantrell. There’s plenty of fine food and drink on offer too. Sample world-class cocktails, craft beers and a range of hand-made pizzas for under a tenner. Try the meatball one or, if you’re feeling brave, the super hot ‘End is Nigh’ pizza (decorated with lashings of mozzarella, fresh and dried chillis, hot sauce AND jalapeños) before the main event kicks off at 8.30pm.
