Coming soon: third Evuna restaurant in Knutsford
With established tapas restaurants in the Northern Quarter and on Deansgate, Evuna is opening a Spanish wine boutique and restaurant in Knutsford. Set to arrive in August, it will occupy a Tudor property over three floors, right in the heart of the town. With a basement bar and extensive wine cellar, the ground floor will be dedicated to serving the tapas which had made Evuna so successful in Manchester. The Knutsford venue will also have a Spanish garden, with a retractable roof for outdoor dining year round.

Levenshulme Market goes veggie for one night only
The third in the series of evening events, Levenshulme Market is holding a veggie special in celebration of National Vegetarian Week. With local street food stalls offering plenty of veggie and vegan dishes, there will also be range of food, beer, art, craft and many other stalls to take goodies home, with Beatific DJs providing the soundtrack on the night.

This weekend: Manchester Bierfest in Albert Square
Time to dig out your lederhosen, the event returns for 2017’s beer festival on Albert Square. The biergarden and German village are free to enter, with tickets required for the Bavarian FestTent. With stalls selling traditional food, handmade German beer and German sparkling wine, there will be plenty of oompah music to ensure you feel transported to Bavaria. Purple pizza anyone? Prince-inspired celebration at Hulme Garden Centre
Probably the best titled event around to celebrate National Vegetarian Week, and also their new Prince solar panel project. Apparently Prince used to secretly buy people solar panels, so between the anniversary of his death and his birthday (21 Apr-7 Jun), climate change activists 10:10 are fundraising to put panels on the roofs of organisations fighting for the causes he believed in. At Saturday’s event, guests are invited to find out more while making purple pizzas.

Only £3: Brazilian Food Festival at Sachas Hotel
Join a collection of Manchester’s Brazilian community for their inaugural Brazilian festival, with a range of traditional dishes, caipirinha, guarana and live music. Stalls will be selling food to eat at the event and also plenty of produce to take away. There will also be a free beginner’s capoeira class, it being a Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance, acrobatics and music.

Food, craft beer, music & more: ShinDigger Sessions at Antwerp Mansion
Local brewery ShinDigger are holding their third all day party at Antwerp Mansion, with the unique venue transformed into a colourful playground by local artistic collaborators for one night only. DJs Reform Radio, Better Days, Battlestar Mancunia, Nubiyan Twist with live sax and bongos, Blood Money Club Traxx, and Kerouac will be playing, plus ShinDigger beers will be served alongside Manchester Three Rivers Gin and cocktails. Federation brewery opens in Altrincham’s Con Club
To add to the ever-expanding food and drink offerings in Altrincham, the town is getting its first microbrewery. Named Federation after the brewery that used to provide beers for the country’s Working Men’s Clubs, it’s based in new bar and restaurant, The Con Club, itself a conversion of a former club. With a weekly beer output of 1,152 pints. The first few include pale ale A Wing and a Prayer and mango beer Mangoes into a Bar.

Based on Great Ancoats Street on the Ashton Canal, Vivid Lounge has built up a local following serving brunch which then transitions into Thai curry bowls in the afternoon.
