Free exhibition: Mumptown’s Jazz Katz & Dogz at Electrik

When visiting an art gallery, there’s always the underlying feeling that it might be better with a craft beer in hand – and this month, Electrik bar in Chorlton makes this a dream a reality with a new exhibition of work by the artist Mumptown. He has created club night posters for the likes of So Flute, record label Fly High Society and last year’s Red Bull Music Academy tour. Mumptown’s Jazz Katz and Dogz is his debut solo exhibition featuring jazz inspired artwork you can take in while enjoying one of the many craft beers on tap at Electrik. Over the years Mumptown has doodled many legendary artists and DJs such as J Dilla and Nightmares on Wax so it’s no surprise that the launch night on Thu 17 Aug will feature some killer tunes from DJs SertOne (Fly High Society) and Bolts and Yadava of So Flute as well as a meet and greet with the artist himself.
