Book tickets: Manchester Science Festival’s Sentinel at the Waterside

Electronic music, infographics and climate change will fuse for a unique Manchester Science Festival performance from former James keyboardist Richard Evans. The musician’s electronic music will be set against a stunning backdrop of climate and refugee data from self-confessed pixel pusher Valentina D’Efilippo. You may recognise her visualisations from coffee-table compendium ‘The Infographic History of the World’. Vocals for the event come from Royal Northern College of Music mezzo-soprano Olympia Hetherington. As well as playing on James’ ‘Strip Mine’ album, the multi-talented Richard Evans was also in new wave act St Vitus Dancers, created the Aeon: Miracle app, and has had his writing published by Dead Ink and The Sky At Night magazine. The Waterside Arts Centre show will be followed by a panel discussion with climate scientists.
