This Friday, Faktion are taking over the ramshackle venue that is the NQ’s Gullivers for another evening of intense, dark industrial post punk-meets-techno, this time teaming up with one of our favourite techno clubnights, Works Unit. DJ Benetti might not be familiar to most, but you may have heard of his other name, Cut Hands. William Bennett (Cut Hands / DJ Benetti) was the founding member of the hugely influential and much revered industrial noise band Whitehouse, and has recently had a resurgence in popularity thanks to the universal critical acclaim surrounding his Cut Hands project, with his latest output Black Mamba being released through one of the UK’s most exciting labels of the moment for dark, industrial inspired and monochromatic music, Blackest Ever Black. Expect something a little different from a DJ Benetti show though – this is set to be a much more colourful experience – an Italo Disco side project from an industrial noise producer? We can’t wait to see what happens.
