Last seen in the city helming Group Therapy’s ‘Magnificent 7’ at Gorilla in January Jess Fostekew gets to present her own work at this week’s XS Malarkey. Personable, honest and very funny Fostekew is a real treat at the top of another great line up from XS with future stars Bilal Zafar, James Allen and Jamie Oliphant also on the bill.

John Kearns | Thu 1 Feb | The Bread Shed | 7.30pm | £10
Another night at The Bread Shed as it cements its place as one of the best places to watch live comedy in the city. This time its double Edinburgh award winning John Kearns wityh his latest show ‘Don’t Worry They’re Here’ which sounds quite sinister but no doubt refers to something the amiable and bumbling Kearns has just found. Ed Gamble | Sat 3 Feb | Gorilla | 7pm | £10
Group Therapy follows up the afore-mentioned ‘Magnificent 7’ new act night in January with some more familiar names this February. Ed Gamble is the dashing raconteur seen in the likes of Mock The Week, Never Mind The Buzzcocks and ‘Almost Royal’. Gamble will be road testing material for his newest show alongside more than able support from Sean McLoughlin (ViceTV) and Josh Jones.

Paul Sinha | Sun 4 Feb | The Frog and Bucket | 8pm | £12/10
Facetiously referencing the Little Mix modern classic ‘Shout Out To My Ex’ this is arguably Paul Sinha’s most personal show to date. A meditation on his beliefs, sexuality, family, pub quizzes and more from one of the UK’s best stand ups. Known primarily as The Chase’s ‘Sinnerman’, if that’s all you know him for then you should go see him in his natural habitat. If you know him from his stand up then you’ll undoubtedly already have tickets.
