New Tampopo Site in Piccadilly Gardens
Next month sees a Manchester institution expand to another restaurant. After two decades since they opened in the city, Tampopo have added another restaurant to their growing portfolio this time in the shape of East Street which will replace Rice in Piccadilly Gardens. The 56 person restaurant will offer on-the-go food from all over East Asia, with dishes from £4.95. Dishes include Thai Green curry, beef rendang and more

El Gato Hits Ancoats: Canto Opens In September
Ancoats as a foodie destination continues apace, following the arrival of Sugo and Pollen, Canto is the latest restaurant to confirm its opening. With creative director of El Gato Negro Simon Shaw at the helm, Canto promises to bring ‘something really special to the table’ as Manchester’s only Portuguese restaurant. Opening on Cutting Room Square in September, Canto promises to bring a unique cuisine to Manchester’s food scene.

Zads to open city centre vegan take-away
Chorlton’s guilt-free vegan takeway, Zad’s, is set to open a city centre site only a year after the opening of their first outlet in an old kebab shop. However, despite the Northern Quarter’s reputation, don’t expect Zad’s to take the obvious route – instead, they’re looking for a spot down the Deansgate and Spinningfields side of the city. Promising to add new dishes as well as firm favourites, the fired cauliflower is supposed to be tasted to be believed as the owners aim to bring vegan food to the masses.

BrewDOG Party

Foraging Supper Club in the woods
Acclaimed festival organisers, Wild Rumpus, host their first ever supper club in the Whirligig woods in Cheshire. Local foragers Fruits of the Forage will be creating a special, exquisite menu for the unique foraged menu. A four course menu and cocktail will feature dishes like wild blossom cheesecake and will take place in the woods under a canopy.
