Manchester’s Magical Movie Experience takes over Mayfield Depot for four weekends this festive season. The film season features popular Christmas flicks including Elf, The Holiday, Love Actually, various Home Alones, Die Hard, The Polar Express, Gremlins and Santa Claus The Movie. The magic kicks off with The Greatest Showman on Friday 23 November, an experience brought to life with stilt walkers, fire breathers and a fabulous choir, creating a fully immersive experience – with sing-along screenings on the opening weekend. Entry to the pop-up cinema is through a secret wardrobe, leading to an enchanted forest full of festive surprises. Seating will include giant bean bags, and visitors are encouraged to dress warm. Festive refreshments are available, and blankets provided, which will be donated to the city’s homeless community after the final screening.
