Clubbing: Eastern Bloc showcase ft. Means&3rd, Kerrie at The White Hotel

Legendary vinyl establishment Eastern Bloc is taking over the White Hotel showcasing residents and regulars at this pre-Christmas all-nighter. Expect a bold range of techno from Means&3rd (Ben Marsen) who has been honing his expertise as the head House & Techno buyer at Eastern Bloc. He has warmed up for an impressive collection of underground names including a recent gig at The Warehouse Project including Call Super, Dr. Rubenstien and Daniel Avery. Joining him is Kerrie, whose DJ style “bolshy and unforgiving,” takes in everything from hypnotic techno to meditative drone. She warmed up for Objekt earlier in the year at Gorilla, while her producing brings a dark and distinctly analog sound – “organic, raw techno with a nod to the past.”  Akaran, Jim Bane, and Tom Houghton are also on the line up. Of this wasn’t enough, prior to the main event, Eastern Bloc is hosting a FREE pre-party Christmas bash at it’s Northern Quarter home, located on Stevenson Sq, from 7pm-midnight with residents and some special guests to be announced soon, after which the tunes will move to the Salford club where the music runs until 7am. Paper tickets for the White Hotel main event can also be purchased in store at Eastern Bloc.
