London quartet Teleman will treat fans to another appearance at Gorilla this Spring, with third album Family Of Aliens still fresh on the shelves. Fronted by brothers Thomas and Jonny Sanders, backed up by bassist Peter Cattermoul and drummer Hiro Amamiya, the group has a no-nonsense, indie approach to modern, melodic psych rock. Leaning towards electronic textures and soundscapes, their latest record has seen the group build upon their existing palette of sounds, with singer Thomas expressing an aim to “keep evolving and keep discovering”. Having recently seen off a UK tour, the quartet are no strangers to Manchester having headlined Manchester Psych Fest in 2017, also visiting the city as support for the likes of Belle & Sebastien, Metronomy and Maximo Park. Eagle-eyed fans may have recently spotted the group star in a series of suitably kaleidoscopic Ikea adverts, performing ‘Repeater’ from their 2017 EP ‘Fünf’.
Sat 27 Apr, Gorilla, 54-56 Whitworth Street, Manchester, M1 5WW, Tel: 0161 826 2998, 7pm, £15, www.seetickets.com
