Americana-infused Mancunians The Travelling Band have been entertaining the patrons of Odd for years now with their Shut the Far Cupboard sessions (say it fast, and the last word slow) every first and third Sunday of the month. But what of the other two Sundays (also, the occasional 5th), what about those guys? Thankfully Odd will be delivering a Spoonful of musical goodness from this weekend (and all subsequent second and fourth Sundays), ensuring they have every last day of the week covered. Organised by Tom Elias, Spoonful’s inaugural night at the Northern Quarter stalwart will feature singer-songwriters Songs For Walter (pictured) and Stephen Hudson, with specials guests still to be announced. Settle down with a roast dinner and a pint, and listen to some free live music. Sunday, bloody Sunday indeed.
