Dutch-Kiwi trio My Baby are heading to Manchester as part of their latest world tour this month, visiting Band on the Wall on 20 Mar. The band have just seen off the release of fourth album MOUNAIKI: By The Bright Of The Night, and visit Manchester fresh from an extensive run on the road in New Zealand and Australia. Based in Amsterdam, the group are now regulars on the festival circuit, and since releasing debut album My Baby Loves Voodoo! in 2013, have quickly ticked off Glastonbury, Bestival, Boomtown, Wilderness and Shambala, bringing their highly popular brand of shamanic psych-rock to the masses. The genre-eluding outfit mix elements of desert blues, 70’s punk, trance and funk, accurately described by Clash magazine as “psychedelic tapestries of sounds to drilled down beats, classic songwriting to a keen exploration of sound”.
