Comedy: Jamie Kilstein headlines XSMalarkey at Jabez Clegg

A few weeks ago XSMalarkey comedy club moved away from Fallowfield, its home for the last 15 years. But the club is still within easy access for students, having moved just opposite the University of Manchester union to Jabez Clegg. Hosted and run by Toby Hadoke plus a team of others (including Ros Bell who now co-runs the Group Therapy comedy night), the weekly club has built a reputation as the quality comedy night that comedians love to play. This Tuesday is no exception with American vegan polemicist Jamie Kilstein performing his Manchester date during a short UK tour. Back in his native US he’s known for co-hosting a show on Citizen Radio with Allison Kilkenny, with guests as eclectic and disparate as Noam Chomsky and Sarah Silverman. With a number of TV appearances in the bag too, this politically astute comic with his fired-up observations is one to watch.
