Level up: Super Mario pop-up The Mushroom Bar is coming to Manchester

Mamma Mia! Long-time fans of Nintendo’s plucky portly plumber are in luck – there’s a Super Mario themed pop-up bar coming to Manchester city centre later this year, giving you the chance to step into the world of your favourite game. While details of an exact launch date and location are still under wraps, what we do know is this Super Mario pop-up will be titled the Mushroom Bar and boast floating mushrooms, mystery boxes and piranha plants which – like the game – will pop in and out of green warp pipes. Attendees will also get to sample themed cocktails and Luigi’s signature pizza while they try to emerge victorious in gaming tournaments that will be projected on a cinema-sized screen within the venue. As if all that wasn’t enough, Mushroom Bar also promises a Mario-themed inflatable area and a host of giveaways for those who swing by in fancy dress or who collect the most stars in various challenges planned throughout the night. The Mushroom Bar looks set to open its doors in November 2019, so make sure you’re top of the list for tickets by registering your interest on their website. We’ll post exact details as we know more.
