Well, this is cool. One of the city’s fastest growing food spots Bundobust will be giving the first 50 customers to wish them Happy Raksha Bandhan tomorrow 20% off food and drink for a whole year. For those unaware, Raksha Bandhan is an annual ceremony that is celebrated in India, various parts of South Asia and among people around the world influenced by Hindu culture. It invites sisters of all ages to tie a bracelet, talisman or amulet called the ra khi around the wrists of their brothers as a symbol of protection and in turn, they receive a gift. For a limited time tomorrow (Thu Aug 15), Bundobust venues across the UK – including Manchester’s Piccadilly restaurant – will be giving away festival-style ra khi wristbands to their first 50 customers. Those who wish their members of staff a happy Raksha Bandhan whilst wearing these wristbands will be entitled to a sweet 20% discount on all Bundobust food and drink for an entire year until Raksha Bandhan 2020. Those who manage to keep their wristbands on for an entire year will receive a free combo for four at a rakhi removing ceremony held on the eve of Raksha Bandhan 2020.
