The Women in Comedy Festival continues with a cracking showcase and a solo show from ‘Canada’s Sweetheart’ Allyson June Smith, plus there’s a manly than most Nick Helm at The Dancehouse.
Just a handful of tickets remain to see Nick Helm and we suggest you grab them as soon as you’ve finished reading this. A ball of pure energy with an infectious enthusiasm for himself, Helm is arguably the best way to kick off a weekend and this new show is perfect Friday night fodder.
Canadian comic and adopted Manc Allyson June Smith presents a work-in-progress show as part of the Women In Comedy Festival for a delightful end to your week. ‘The Self Confidence Trick’ takes a look at what it takes to truly believe in yourself, and even though Smith has entertained folk around the world with her comedy she still has that nagging sense of self-doubt. She really shouldn’t worry about it.

As part of the ongoing Women In Comedy Festival some of the North West’s best comedians come together for a special showcase of the Funny Women Award competitors from years gone by. Hayley Ellis, Sian Davies, Amy Gledhill, Celya AB and more will be on hand to provide huge laughs in this alumni show that will eclipse any lineup you’ll find this week around the country.
