An entirely vegan street food market and a vintage kilo sale are among our picks for the best free things to do in Manchester this weekend.
Stop by Hatch for a night filled with the coolest house and disco records, brought to you by Surco. The night will feature Surco’s resident DJs, with some special guests still to be announced – this is the perfect way to kick off your weekend at one of Manchester’s coolest venues.
This 2 day coding competition, hosted by Auto Trader, aims to encourage girls to try coding in a friendly environment, supported by women working in technology. The event takes place over Saturday and Sunday and is for girls aged between 11 and 18 (who aren’t already at university).
The UK’s largest vintage kilo sale returns to Manchester, bringing six tonnes of vintage clothing to rummage through. Entry is free if you book early on Skiddle and you pay £15 per kilo – the clothes are weighed in front of you to ensure you pay for exactly what you buy. There’s no minimum spend so you might even end up paying less than £15 – this is a great (and sustainable!) way to get some affordable vintage into your wardrobe.
