Visit: RHS launches first new garden for nearly two decades, RHS Garden Bridgewater

The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) will be opening its fifth garden, RHS Garden Bridgewater in Salford, Manchester to the public from Thursday 30 July 2020. The first new garden launched by the RHS in almost two decades, this event will be one of the most significant in the Society’s 215-year history. The 154-acre site is currently the biggest project of its kind in Europe. World-renowned landscape architect Tom Stuart-Smith designed the garden, including its centrepiece; an 11-acre Weston Walled Garden, measuring the size of six football pitches and compromising of 11 gardens, including the Paradise Garden, Kitchen Garden, Wellbeing Garden and Community grow spaces. In addition, the RHS Garden Bridgewater is creating almost one hundred local jobs, including apprenticeships and learning opportunities for local schoolchildren. Tickets will be on sale later this spring with free entry to RHS members. All Salford residents will be able to access the garden for free every Tuesday for the first year.
