At the centre of Chorlton and the centre of our hearts, Dulcimer is a hip-happening bar and neighbourhood hangout with a reliable roster of great live music. Here, we guide you through five totally free events from their jam-packed calendar this week.
An equally special jam night comes this Wednesday night, as Refried Beats takeover Dulcimer, bringing African and South American music for their long-running Afro-Cuban jam sessions. All are welcome — established players or those new to the scene.
Dulcimer’s Open Mic Night is one of the city’s best, always hosting impressive local performers trying out both original songs and covers. Come along and try performing yourself, or join the supportive crowd.
It’s Friday night, it’s Dulcimer, and it’s DJ Guy ’Tightass’ Connor, a regular here at Dulcimer with a tip-top collection of rock, blues, soul and funk records.
At the realm this Saturday night is Family Affair, expert purveyors of soul, funk, boogie, and disco. For February’s edition we’ve got James Greenwood (of Supernature Disco fame) in control. Huzzah!
