With lockdown restrictions lifting from Saturday 4 July, there are loads of brilliant Manchester spots we can all finally pay a visit to once again. Social distancing is still mandatory and numerous health and safety measures will be in place, so it won’t be quite like before – but it’ll still be great to support local places who have lost business in the past few months. We’ve rounded up a few of the best things you’ve missed in Manchester which are opening their doors again, including Atlas Bar, The Ivy Spinningfields, and The Modernist.

Enjoy a Gin at Atlas Bar

Nestled in Deansgate’s railway arches, Atlas Gin Bar will be opening its doors again as lockdown restrictions lift. Offering an unrivalled selection of local and international speciality gins, there’s no better place to go if you’re desperate for something a bit more exciting than what the supermarkets have to offer. Plus, their expansive and sun-bathed terrace provides the perfect, socially distant, drinking spot.

The Modernist, a gallery and shop springing from the magazine of the same name dedicated to modernist architecture and design, will be back open for visitors to enjoy as lockdown measures lift. Take in the gallery space, visit the shop, and pick up the magazine to get a much-needed culture fix from one of the coolest corners of the Northern Quarter. They’ll be operated a limited entrance service as lockdown eases and only opening Saturdays from 11am – 5pm, so be sure to check their socials for up to the minute updates.

Sing Karaoke at All Star Lanes

While All Star Lanes won’t be open for bowling quite yet, their dining and bar areas are opening up from the 4 July, meaning you can enjoy a drink, a dance, and some karaoke. If you’re heading out with friends for the first time in a long time, have a couple of drinks and let your inner singing star out (somewhere other than the shower!)
