Salford’s Islington Mill continues to innovate and inspire with Video Jam, a night of blind collaboration between film-makers, animators, artists and live audio performers. This month sees Berlin-based rockers Two Chix and A Beer headline the night, soundtracking short films and animation from local artists. Creating music to suit the mood of the films and sometimes to counteract it, Video Jam has blended audio and visual delights to great effect at spiritual home Antwerp Mansion, as well as Falmouth Concourse Arts Festival and the mill’s own Rule of 3 curatorial residency. The night will also serve as the launch of Mill favourite Tasha Whittle’s residency Lose/Gain.
