Both misleadingly and appropriately named, The New York Brass Band play Matt & Phred’s this Saturday. North Yorkshire’s finest New Orleans-inspired brass band will be bringing the feel of mardi gras to the Tib Street institution for one night only. So go wave your jazz hands in the air and party like a Treme extra to the 8-piece band playing Marvin Gaye, George Michael, Stevie Wonder and some funky, gritty northern original music thrown in for good measure. Make sure you book a table; you’ll be dancing on it by the end of the night.
