If romance isn’t your thing and you’re after more of a fast-paced action movie, then this could be the film for you. Starring Bruce Willis as New York policeman John McClane, Die Hard is an undisputed Christmas classic (that’s right, we’re officially labeling it a Christmas film) with bullets and festive cheer all rolled into one adventure. Follow John as he tries to navigate a terrorist hostage situation in a busy tower block and is forced to fight back. After more?Die Hard 2: Die Harder will be screening on Monday 30 November and Die Hard with a Vengeance on Wednesday 9 December too.
Taking a step back from the Christmas theme, Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey brings excitement and action to the drive-in, with hints of comedy, and of course, all things Harley Quinn. A spin-off story from the new-wave Batman comics, the film focuses on neon-haired heroine Harley Quinn, now ex-girlfriend of the Joker, as she embarks on an unlikely adventure following their split. Full of girl power and excitement, this film isn’t just for Batman fans – and needs to be on your list.
For a proper feel-good family film, pop down to the drive in cinema on Friday 11 December for Elf, a festive favourite that will leave everyone in the family in fits of laughter and ready for the big day. With Will Ferrell’s humour, the fun never ends in this magical, yet hilarious story of a human raised as an Elf in the North Pole, experiencing big city life for the first time whilst in search for his Dad, who’s ended up on the naughty list.
A classic Charles Dickens story but with a twist. Kermit, Gonzo, Miss Piggy and co are the stars of this Christmas favourite about Ebenezer Scrooge, the man (or frog, in this case) who hates Christmas, and the three ghosts who try to give him back his Christmas spirit. Shown on the last day of the Drive-in, A Muppet Christmas Carol is a great way to end Christmas 2020 on a high.
