To coincide with the release of I Had The Blues Live at Brixton – Bombay Bicycle Club present a special livestream performance of the 2009 album in full from the North London studio it was recorded in, Konk Studios. As the band only played five small UK shows last year for the 10th anniversary, they wanted to do something special for fans. Manchester charity Lifeshare, who work to help the homeless and vulnerable in the city, continue their Virtual Christmas Event this week. From 5 December, Lifeshare have been hosting a digital Christmas Market experience with local vendors. Each week there are different ‘stalls’ to buy from and on Saturday evenings viewers can enjoy a special LifeStream gig filmed at YES. Past performers have included Hot Singles Club, Me Gusta and Gold88 and there’s still more to come.
Over the next few weeks you can tune in on the website to see performances from Heavy Salad, The Battery Farm, San Pedro Collective, Cold Water Swimmers and Slack Alices. The next LifeStream is due this Saturday 19 December, so keep your eyes peeled on the Lifeshare Instagram for line-up details. There are also competitions, raffles, a live auction (hosted by patron Maxine Peake) and more – all to help raise much-needed funds this festive season. Swedish duo Bells Fell Silent present an hour long virtual gig this Monday 14 December. From 7pm GMT join Gustav Sigala Haggren and Niklas Hegfalk as they perform tracks from their recently released self-titled album.
