A brand new pop-up marketplace entitled The Pop-Up Club is set to arrive in Manchester this summer, offering a space for local traders to showcase their art, crafts, clothing, homeware and accessories.
Finding a temporary home at 19 King Street, the pop-up event will last from Saturday 12 June to Sunday 29 August. Throughout these 11 weeks, The Pop Up Club will be transforming this Deansgate space into a hub of artisan products, with local businesses like Red Spotty Dog, The Neighbourhood Threat, and Nicola Briggs Ceramics topping the bill.
After experiencing roaring success at their three other spots across the country, The Pop-Up Club is travelling North in hopes of helping the city’s suffering retail sector and to encourage shoppers to go independent.
Although founder Tillie Peel started The Pop-Up Club way back in 2017, the company also has a keen priority of supporting those who have developed their passion projects into side hustles throughout the pandemic by giving them an affordable space to sell their products. Pitches inside the market start from just £25 per day, so sellers don’t need to fork out a bunch just to get a stall. There are also opportunities for local traders to use the space for workshops too.
According to Tillie, the overall aim of the project is to highlight and promote artists, designers and small businesses alike who all have a core mantra of eco-friendliness and sustainability – as well as to encourage face-to-face shopping across the city. As restrictions become ever-looser, now is your chance to shop at an inspiring range of great local indie stores, all in one building. Follow the link below to find out more.
