A new flexible workspace is due to arrive in Manchester city centre, offering workers a range of hot desk spaces, hireable offices and meeting rooms, a podcast recording studio, club lounge and even an on-site artisan café.
Opening in phases across the coming year, Clockwork is due to take over 8 floors in Linley House on Dickinson Street, right in the heart of Manchester city centre. Originally built in 1963 as an electrical station that provided power to the entirety of Manchester city, this new work-space promises to retain a number of the building’s original features and mid-century influences, blending them into a sleek and modern design aimed to encourage workers to step back into offices after more than a year of home working in the wake of the pandemic.
In addition to housing a podcasting recording studio and a new coffee space from Two Hands, Clockwork’s new Manchester home (the brand’s third in the North West and ninth in the UK), will also feature the building’s original ‘City of Manchester Electric Light Station’ sign within its respectfully designed interior.
Other notable features designed to aid productivity, foster community and support general work wellbeing include natural lighting, an abundance of plants and a communal stairway space. For more information on Clockwork’s new Manchester base, follow the link below.
