Andy James’ musical-themed restaurant Ate Days A Week is closing. The first restaurant from phenomenal Manchester chef Andy James is due to close, to prepare for a whole new chapter.
Ate Days A Week originally started as a lockdown venture, pairing food with musical themes or stories. From there, the business rode the wave of success all the way to a permanent venue on Vernon Street in Stockport, with an ever-changing menu and a flurry of happy customers. Now, head chef Andy has announced that the restaurant will be closing imminently, as they expand on their newest venture – trendy dive bar Notion. The deep-South inspired bar opened at the start of June, serving up hilarious cocktails and some of the best wings in the North. The team are hoping that this evolution will accommodate for lots more guests, making Notion the best party destination in Stockport.
In addition to this, the Ate Days A Week team will also be launching a brand new burger joint, named Smash and Dash. Here you can grab smashed patty burgers made with Cheshire beef for the miniscule price of £3 each – accompanied with a choice of 11 different sauces and toppings, and all of the traditional burger sides such as fried pickles, onion rings, and skin-on fries.
Smash and Dash is due to make its debut on 29th July at 4pm, with 30 free burgers on offer for anyone who buys a cocktail or pint of Red Stripe that evening. Get this one in your calendars, folks!
