Book now: Villagers bring their euphoric and escapist new album to Manchester’s Albert Hall

Villagers have been delighting audiences since 2008, coming  to prominence in 2010 with the release of their debut album, Becoming a Jackal. Released to critical acclaim, the album was shortlisted for the 2010 Mercury Prize and the Choice Music Prize. And now fast forward to 2021 and Conor O’Brien, the man behind the Villagers Moniker, has released his fifth album, Fever Dreams.  The record is a pursuit in escapism, picking the listener up and setting them down elsewhere with mesmerising effect.
O’Brien says of Fever Dreams: “I had an urge to write something that was a generous to the listener as it was to myself. Sometimes the most delirious states can produce the most ecstatic, euphoric and escapist dreams.” It’s easy to see why Manchester’s  Albert Hall is a perfect venue for this atmospheric music.
