Manchester comedy institution XS Malarkey leads the pack this week with a celebration of the city’s LGBTQIA+ comedians, plus tour shows from Lloyd Griffith and Rob Auton.
We’ve been waxing lyrical about Rob Auton for as long as we’ve been writing about comedy on this site. He’s just brilliant. Taking the simplest premises and spinning them into mind-bending and emotionally heartfelt comedy journeys. This one through time has been a long time coming but is no doubt worth the wait.
Most recently seen as a journalist on Apple TV’s hit show ‘Ted Lasso’ or in various instagram stories at Wembley with Rob Beckett, Grimsby’s best comedian/choirboy Lloyd Griffith is back where he belongs; on the stage with his latest show. ‘Not Just A Pretty Face’ charts his busy last couple of years where he’s been supporting Jack Whitehall, appearing in heaps of TV shows and following England to belt out some tunes.

XS Malarkey have teamed with Building Equality for a celebration of the great LGBTQIA+ from Manchester and beyond. An absolutely belting lineup that includes Bethany Black, Jonathan Mayor, Jonny Collins, Jen Ives and Umby Winters is corralled by token straight man Toby Hadoke as usual. A better lineup you’ll struggle to find anywhere in the country this week.
