Film buffs and nostalgia fans rejoice, as HOME has confirmed plans for a season of classic flicks being shown throughout the festive period.
The genre-spanning programme forms part of the venue’s wider Christmas calendar, revisiting an array of crowd-pleasers from a golden era of cinema that have no doubt stood the test of time.
Action, adventure and horror are all well-represented in a list of beloved flicks that have been specially curated by Sorcha Fi Fhlainn, Senior Lecturer in English and Film at Manchester Metropolitan University, and Jen Hall, HOME Film Programme Producer.
Proceedings kick off on Sat 11 Dec, and run right through until Thu 23 Dec. See below for a list of all showings.
Die Hard
Any excuse to revisit the age-old ‘is it a Christmas film?’ Debate—it is, for the record—see Bruce Willis’ John McLane go toe-to-toe with Alan Rickman’s scene-stealing Hans Gruber on the big screen once more.
