After a decade and a half of running parties, Hit & Run is now of the most established bass music clubnights in the country. Having started in Oxford, it is now proudly Manchester-based, and brings a host of debuts to the city once again, one of which comes in form of grime and trap producer Wize, who’s joined by talented MC, Novelist. The bill is topped by two drum ‘n’ bass legends, Calibre and Break.
Yves Tumor caught the imaginations of the alternative pop world back in 2015 with debut album, When Man Fails You. The genre-bending artist returns to Manchester after the well-received Asymptotical World EP, for a double live show, two in one night, presented by Now Wave. Yves has also worked with fresh face, Yungblud on their latest single, Jackie.
With four critically acclaimed albums now under his belt, Leon Vynehall’s stature as one of the leading lights of electronica and experimental dance music is firmly cemented. He hits White Hotel this April for an extended set, with support TBA.
Shanti Celeste’s rise is showing no signs of slowing, and her label, Peach Discs, run with Gramrcy, have been releasing consistently killer house, breaks and techno since 2017 including Shanti’s brilliant album, Tangerine, in 2020. Their party, Housework is a staple in their hometown of Bristol, but they’re bringing it to Manchester for the first time along with resident Golesworthy.
