An evening of poetry, stories and performance comes to the splendid setting of The King’s Arms pub tomorrow night, with all proceeds from the event going to the Disasters Emergency Committee appeal for humanitarian aid in Ukraine.

MANCHESTER WRITERS FOR UKRAINE promises to be an evening packed with incredible talent, featuring the likes of Sarah Butler, Michael Conley, Peter Kalu, Cheryl Martin, John McAuliffe, Reshma Ruia, Fat Roland and Louise Wallwein.

The show will also include Maria Romanenko, a journalist who recently arrived in Manchester from Kyiv as a war refugee, a film of eleven poets from International Cities of Literature reading So I’ll Talk About It by Ukrainian poet Serhiy Zhadan, and a message from Lviv City of Literature filmed specially for Manchester.
