Looking for ways to keep the kids busy over the Easter break? We’ve got you covered with a handful of Easter egg trails, hunts and activities that’ll be taking place in and around Greater Manchester.
Perfect for children of all ages, Dunham Massey’s Easter Adventures trail features ten activity stations each celebrating the arrival of spring in their own unique way, from vibrant daffodils to mesmerising birdsong. Along the route, visitors can spot fallow deer across the 300-acre park before exploring the extensive gardens around the 400-year-old mill.
Every trail includes a chocolate egg (with vegan ‘Free-From’ chocolate eggs available), made in the UK using cocoa from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms.
Alongside their astounding variety of year-round activities, including an indoor play barn, pony grooming, adventure play, tractor rides and more, Reddish Vale Farm runs a daily Egg Hunt packed with head-scratching clues for younger visitors, with simplified colour-coded hunting for toddlers and even the chance to win a special prize by finding the hourly golden egg.

Promising the ‘biggest, best and most eggciting egg hunts around’, Bolton’s favourite farm offers sweets, chocolates, teddy bears, photo opportunities and prizes as part of their Easter festivities, alongside their usual exciting activities which include donkey rides, meet the meerkats sessions, farm-made ice cream and lamb-feeding in the ever-popular Pets Corner.
As well as a Family Silent Disco and Pop-up Market, Tatton Park’s generous Easter programme includes their Garden Trail based on the modern children’s classic, Shaun the Sheep, while the Easter Mansion Trail invites visitors to find eggs for the Easter Bunny throughout its grand state rooms.

This Easter, Lyme Park provides three themed play zones featuring an egg hunt with activities and games for all ages in the garden, a wild-hearted adventure on Green Drive or a lark around Crow Wood with an array of nature themed activities.
Elsewhere, visitors can uncover the remarkable 600-year history of Lyme, with mansion tours and Regency dress-up activities to Edwardian nursery toys and more deer-spotting.

Running between 10am and4pm daily, the wondrously picturesque RHS Garden Bridgewater hosts a Giant Easter Egg Hunt, featuring larger-than-life eggs designed by local artists Alastair Price and Cath Ford – and based on designs by local school children – scattered around the grounds in an enchanting interactive trail. Any child who completes the challenge will win a free vegan chocolate treat from NOMO, the UK’s #1 vegan chocolate brand.
