One bank holiday down, Two to go…Here’s our pick of the best club-nights in the not so rainy city over the next few weeks.
Much loved DJ, producer and Mas O Menos label head, Levi Love, celebrates the release of his new EP, A Tribute to Magriza, at SOUP this May Bank Holiday. Written whilst mourning the passing of his own mother, Levi’s EP is a raw collection of jams with a wonderful cross-pollination of Manchester and South African influence. Levi is joined by Disco Mum’s Julie Wills.
While the whole world slept through a pandemic, Band on the Wall were busy at work, transforming the ever-innovative venue into an even bigger staple of the city. The new sound system is impeccable and who better to return to the scene than Mr. Scruff, who’s party Keep It Unreal has been running since the inception of BOTW. He invites Rhythm Section boss Bradley Zero and a host of names to rinse out room 2.
Sex Tags Mania boss, DJ Sotofett is maybe the most fitting DJ for the White Hotel around, so it’s a wonder that this is his debut. An avid collector of all things weird and wonky, Sotofett also keeps one foot firmly in party territory with his selections. He’s invited for an all-night-long session by local label and party Bakk Heia.
Seb Wildblood hits the YES basement as part of his US, Canada and UK tour celebrating the release of his new album, do you feel it to? As all my thoughts label head, Wildblood has brought many names to the forefront of the deeper side of electronic music, such as Tom VR, mauv and Cameo Blush, whilst also consistently churning out thought-provoking and pensive material across a host of labels including Church, Oath and Coastal Haze.
