A mix of previews, eclectic bills and stand-up for mums this week in Manchester’s comedy round-up.
XS Malarkey are kicking off their Edinburgh Fringe preview season with an absolutely colossal double-bill in Jessica Fostekew and Jonny Pelham. Fostekew follows up Edinburgh Comedy Award nominated show ‘Hench’ with new work ‘Wench’ which she recently performed to a sold out audience at comedian’s dream festival in Machynlleth. Pelham meanwhile will be attempting to find ‘Optimism Over Despair’, which after the last couple of years we can all associate with as a near impossible task.
Katie Mulgrew hosts this innovative afternoon comedy shows that allows new mums the chance to watch some of the best stand-ups on the circuit whilst nursing and bonding with their children. With the age limit set at 18 months, this gives the chance for comedians to do their usual sets in the most unusual of circumstances and for mums the chance to have a much needed laugh whilst still being excellent parents!
