Tirzah | Wed 22 Jun | 7.30pm | £16

After the breakneck ascent of her first album, Devotion, to cult status in music circles exasperated by the dominion of heavily manicured, digestible pop, London songwriter Tirzah plays The Stoller Hall on the tour of her latest project, Colourgrade. Described by Pitchfork as a ‘collection of porous, avant-garde love songs’, Tirzah’s second acclaimed record is a celebration of kinship, change and the wonder of daily life.

Tuesday Folk People: On Tour | Thu 23 Jun | 7pm | £17

Masterfully twanging their way from the 150,000 listener-strong Tuesday Folk People programme to the Stoller Hall stage, the brightest figures of English folk music cover the jaw-dropping breadth of sounds, styles and techniques in the scene on their brief summer tour. Featuring stalwart vocalist Bob Fox, young New Zealand duo Good Habits and many more, the evening promises to delight English folk enthusiasts of all preferences.

Candlelight: The Best of Joe Hisaishi | Fri 24 Jun | 6pm & 8.30pm | £35

A captivating homage to the genius composer behind Studio Ghibli’s unmistakeable soundtracks, the String Infusion ensemble infusion recreates the wondrous atmosphere of Spirited Away and Howl’s Moving Castle with a performance of Joe Hisaishi’s best works set against the shivering glow of several hundred candles.

Chetham's Big Band and Afro-Cuban Jazz Band | Mon 27 Jun | 7.30pm | £11

Comprising the North’s best young jazz and percussion musicians, the Chetham’s Big Band, Afro-Cuban Jazz Band and Latin Percussion Ensemble gather for an immersive night of spectacular performances in their home venue.
