No rest for the wicked as Edinburgh Comedy Award nominees Lauren Pattison and Chris Cantrill are back at it via a tour show for the former and Adult Film Club for the latter, while Eshaan Akbar will be at a Desi Comedy Night on Sunday to round out a cracking week of comedy.
Another act who was nominated for the big prize at the Fringe and is diving right back into live performances is Lauren Pattison, as she brings the aforementioned acclaimed show It Is What It Is to The Lowry for a Saturday night of laughs. A story of rebuilding during a pandemic, the show struck a real chord in Edinburgh where it was a sell-out every show, critically lauded and eventually getting the nod at the Dave Comedy Awards. Coming just a few years after her nomination for Best Newcomer it further cements Pattison as very much one to watch.
Finish off your week with a cracking early evening lineup at The Frog as the likes of Eshaan Akbar, Sukh Olja, Tommy Sandhu and Kane Brown will be in town for Desi Central. Akbar is possibly the most recognisable after turns on Mock The Week and with a UK tour upcoming it’s a cracking chance to see a comedian very much on the rise in your local comedy club.

After another successful Fringe as part of Edinburgh Comedy Award nominated sketch duo The Delightful Sausage, Chris Cantrill is right back at it as he teams up with music video director Sam O’Leary for Adult Film Club. A night of curated comedy treasures from around the world, this evening of short sketches and films offers something a little different from the usual comedy night as Chris and Sam punctuate the night with their own grotty humour before sitting back and watching along with the audience.
