A new exhibition featuring original artworks from the iconic graffiti artist Banksy is set to open in Manchester this October.
Described as ‘the world’s largest collection of authenticated works by Banksy’, it will feature around 145 pieces that span prints, canvases and sculptures created by the artist, all of which have been loaned from 40 collectors from around the world.
Presented in association with HOME, the collection will open in a purpose-built 1,200 square meter temporary structure in MediaCity on Fri 21 Oct, and will run through until Sun 8 Jan.
The Art of Banksy arrives fresh from an acclaimed year-long run in London, and has previously exhibited in Melbourne, Chicago, San Francisco, Sydney, Washington DC, Boston, Tel Aviv, Auckland, Toronto, Miami and Gothenburg.
Visitors will get the opportunity to see some of the artist’s most famed works, including Girl With Baloon, Flower Thrower, Rude Copper and Brace Yourself.
