Over the past couple of years, Blank Media (and, indeed, the BLANKSPACE building itself) has felt like an art scene all on its own, responsible for the venting of more creative talent than the cumulative output of some entire other cities. They host this fundraiser for their ‘equals’ summer programme, which aims to explore feminism through art and conversation. Opening up the evening are BMC.TV, who will be curating a set of female video art screenings, setting the scene for an all-girl rock’n’roll DJ set from The Vault. Legends in their own lifetime Trash-o-Rama would’ve likely been here even if they weren’t bringing in the early hours with a classic set of queerbeat, garage and nu-disco, so it only makes sense for them to have a go on the decks. The entire night will be accompanied by a selection of tropical cocktails, so you can feel summery even if it’s raining outside.
