A unique evening of music, art and pioneering performance comes to the Science and Industry Museum this October in Turn It Up: Live as part of this year’s Manchester Science Festival.
Coinciding with the world-premiere special exhibition, Turn It Up: The Power of Music, the adult-only, after-hours event features a spectacular lineup of audio and visual art led by headline artists, Giant Swan, who push the boundaries of live techno via improvised sets across drum machines, synths and guitar pedals.
Award-winning sound and performance artist Aja and Manchester-based DJ, Abena complete the lineup. Expect sets that switch between fast, bass-heavy sounds and slower, experimental electronics.
Alongside the musical entertainment will be live visuals and digital artwork from the incredible Manchester-based artist and DJ Izzy Bolt, who has previously worked with the likes of The Warehouse Project and exhibited in Caustic Coastal, The Lowry, Kings Place Gallery and MIRA Film Nights.
Visitors will be able to grab a drink from the bar and enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience that also includes after-hours access to the Turn It Up: The Power of Music exhibition.
Turn It Up: Live has been produced in partnership with From the Other, the team behind Sounds From the Other City, Fat Out Fest and Samarbeta artist residencies.
Tickets are £12 for adults and £9 for concessions. Over 18s only. Grab yours using the button below.
