The Trove team have reopened their Levenshulme cafe following a refurbishment
In homage to Trove’s original Levenshulme home, owner Marcus has developed a recipe that uses some of the venue’s waste coffee to create cutlery pots from the same moulds that were used by Trove more than a decade ago when they were just starting out.
A brand-new all-day wine bar and coffee house has opened its doors in Spinningfields.
Provence takes something of a non-traditional approach to wine lists, with guests able to choose from a menu categorised by ‘wine occasions’ as opposed to regions or flavour profiles.
Earlier on in the day, Provence will operate as a coffee shop and breakfast spot, serving an ‘available until it’s gone’ rotating daily menu that includes staples like porridge, Greek yoghurt pots, sourdough, sandwiches and freshly-baked pastries and cakes from Ancoats Bakery Companio.
Manchester is set to regain one of its most beloved pubs this November, as The Deansgate prepares to re-open after being boarded up for more than two years.
The historic boozer has been acquired by Greene King, after shutting back in March 2020 and failing to reopen once pandemic restrictions were lifted.
Inside, both floors and the roof terrace have been refurbished, with a new third-floor space and another outdoor terrace being added.

Exhibition, the new bar and multi-kitchen space set to take over the historic St George’s House on Peter Street, arrives in November.
The space has some seriously impressive names attached in terms of food traders, with Caroline Martins bringing a simplified bistro take on her acclaimed Sao Paulo project, Michelin-Guide-listed Osma comes with relaxed Scandi dishes and open-fire specialists, Baraxturi complete the kitchen lineup.
After dark, Exhibition will transform into a late night bar with DJs, live singers and instrumentalists taking centre stage. Expect an eclectic mix of genres and a curated roster of both local and international DJs, every Wednesday-Sunday.
Already one of our favourite recent Manchester openings, the Maray team have managed to take things up another notch by introducing Sunday lunch to their offering.
Perfect for those after something a bit different, it takes all those classic flavours of a traditional roast, and blends them with Middle Eastern spices to devastatingly delicious effect.

A new multi-purpose venue and event space is set to open in the Green Quarter next month.
Love Factory takes over an 11,3000 sq ft warehouse on Dantzic Street, and will play host to live music events, exhibitions, art and theatre shows.
There’ll also be an extensive independent food and drink offering, with local traders like Ate Days A Week — who’ll be bringing their award-winning pies to the venue — ensuring no one goes hungry. A full list of local traders is to be announced soon.
In what looks to be one of this year’s most exciting new openings, MUSU will open on Manchester’s Bridge Street this autumn.
Translated as ‘infinite possibilities’, the new concept, which takes over the former Randall & Aubin site, will offer guests three ‘multi-sensory’ dining options to choose from — an a la carte ‘sentaku’ menu, a seven and 11-course kaiseki menu and a theatric omakase menu, which will be served over a six-seater omakase counter.
One of Manchester’s newer faces on the brewing scene, Sureshot, have announced their plans to open a city centre taproom this November.
Sureshot was founded in 2020, but emerged properly at the beginning of the year, and their gorgeous pours have been popping up at various bars and bottleshops around Manchester to overwhelming approval.
Now fans will be able to drink straight from the source, with Sureshot’s own taproom set to open on Fri 18 Nov on Sheffield Street, just down the road from Depot Mayfield.
Loaf Mcr open the doors to their striking, retro pink cafe on Fri 4 Nov. Renowned for their gorgeous homemade loaf cakes and nostalgic cakes, Loaf have also added some lighter lunch options with savoury with grab-and-go artisanal sandwiches and bagels from Sndwch Mcr available to grab-and-go.

A new natural wine and craft beer bar going by the name Juicebox has opened in Didsbury Village.
The new site specialises in natural, low intervention and organic wine, along with an array of craft beers and ‘fancy snacks’, all of which are available to takeaway, delivery or to enjoy sitting in.
