Heaton Park will host an array of family-friendly festive activities throughout December, including the park’s first-ever Christmas markets.
An eclectic mix of local traders will be selling everything from upcycled bird feeders, embroidery art, Manchester spirits and a whole host of other indie treats. The markets will run every weekend from 3 Dec up until Christmas and will be located in the Stables Courtyard next to the animal centre.
Elsewhere, little ones will be able to visit Santa’s Grotto between Sat 3 Dec – Fri 23 Dec, where they’ll receive a gift along with being invited to join the Santa experience by planting a Christmas tree and listening to the Santa read them a story. The Santa Experience is £15 and you can book a slot online here.
Festive film screenings will also be taking place under the Hayloft in the Stables Courtyard. Films will be shown between 11am and 3pm every weekend, and will be shown on a loop and changed intermittently.
