Even if you’ve not heard of them, you’ll have heard a MS MR song. You’ll have had to – they’ve been pretty much everywhere over the course of the past year. Their album, Secondhand Rapture, hasn’t quite been so ubiquitous (despite having incredibly strong reviews), but there hasn’t been a track as universally adored by the blogs as Hurricane since Lana Del Rey started wailing about her video games. Their sound is slightly vintage, the result of a lifetime amalgamating pop culture references and trying to funnel them all all into something coherent – which they do, beautifully. They’re bringing Charli XCX along to spin a few tunes beforehands, too, with much-tipped Thumpers and Freddie Dixon opening up the evening.
