Stopping in Manchester on their From Virgin To Quantum Years tour, groundbreaking electronica outfit Tangerine Dream mine their peerlessly inventive back catalog to bring a setlist of pulsating, cybernetic classics to Albert Hall on Fri 10 Nov.

Fresh from a sold-out UK tour, contemporary folk trailblazers LANKUM arrive in Manchester on 26 Jan to launch Albert Hall’s unmissable 2024 programme. Hailed as ‘the best Irish band of their generation’ by The Irish Times, LANKUM bring an eerie, uniquely transfixing sound which distorts traditional forms into idiosyncratic fever dreams.

Presented by Homobloc and The Warehouse Project, Fever Ray performs at Albert Hall following the release of their ‘expansive yet focused’ new record, Radical Romantics. Building upon a catalogue ranging from pared-back, iridescent minimalism to raw, uninhibited desire, Fever Ray’s latest album spins an achingly gorgeous and cathartically relatable tapestry from the chaotic anguish of love, observed from all angles with a captivating symbiosis of dance, heartbreak, euphoria and anxiety.

Inspired by her environment and its impact on her identity and personal narrative, from her parents’ haunted house to the London flatshares of young adulthood, Holly Humberstone performs in Manchester on Sat 9 March with a selection of songs from her spellbinding coming-of-age album, Paint My Bedroom Black.

Formed in 1972, broad-base experimental icons The Residents are widely considered to be originators of performance art and the music video in its modern form. On Wed 3 Apr, the beloved pioneers bring a wildly eclectic setlist spanning trance, world fusion, electronica, punk, industrial and even lounge music.
