Built during lockdown by a devoted team of craftspeople, volunteers and designers at their Moss Side workshop, Hive Sauna operates a mobile wood-burning sauna network around the city with freestanding cabins available for 8-10 people at a time. This winter, Hive has a residency in Gorton’s Debdale Park, nestled in the Nature Reserve. Over at Platt Fields Garden Market, you can book a sauna session with a complementary cold plunge every Sunday.

FIX | Northern Quarter | From £29

Opening on Fri 4 Oct, FIX promises to bring the UK’s biggest sauna to Manchester. Guests can choose from an array of expert-led sessions, from hot stretching and guided breathwork to transformative sound immersion and massage.

FIX also features two ‘socially designed ice baths’, designed by the same people who supply Manchester United and Manchester City, as well as a devoted social area where you can mingle between the hot and cold over an infused natural tea.

The Good Sauna | From £15 | New Jackson

Opening from Wed 20 Nov, The Good Sauna will offer guests a traditional Finnish wood-fired sauna and cold plunge experience with views over the Manchester skyline.

The team, who originally launched the concept in Canada, have partnered with Club de Padel to bring The Good Sauna to Manchester. Community saunas and private bookings are available to book for 1 hour 45-minute time-slots, while weekday sessions are available to book for a 1-hour duration.
