Ahead of the NBA proper coming to Manchester later in the year, Serge Ibaka – who will be playing in that game at the Manchester Arena – is flying over to help host an NBA 3X event. Based around an open-invitation 3-on-3 basketball competition, it acts as a kind of gala to test your skills, have fun and get people involved with the sport. If you don’t fancy taking up one of the places for the 3-on-3 competition (there are under-12, under-14, under-16, under-18, and 18+ categories open), there will be plenty going on around Etihad Stadium’s City Square to entertain over the two days. There will be merch giveaways, DJs and Ibaka himself will be signing autographs, as well as less competitive skills challenges and shoot outs.
